1. Acceptance of these terms

By using this Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or place an order.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to place an order. By ordering, you confirm the details you provide are accurate and that you have the right to use the payment method eventually agreed for your order.

3. Products & descriptions

We describe our ceremonial cacao as accurately as we can, including origin, processing method, and net weight. Cacao is a natural, minimally processed agricultural product, expect small, normal variation in colour, texture, and weight between batches. Product photography is representative but packaging may vary slightly.

4. Orders & order requests

Submitting the checkout form on this Site sends us an order request, it is not a binding sale and no payment is taken automatically. We will contact you at the email or phone number you provide to confirm product availability, final pricing, shipping cost, and to arrange payment. A order is only confirmed once we've told you so in writing (by email) and payment has been received. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order request, for example if a product is out of stock or if we're unable to verify shipping details.

5. Pricing & payment

Prices shown on the Site are listed in the currency stated and do not include shipping, which is confirmed separately for your destination. We take reasonable care to display prices accurately, but if a pricing error is discovered before an order is confirmed, we'll contact you before proceeding. Payment methods are arranged directly with you when we confirm your order.

6. Shipping & returns

Shipping timelines, costs, and our return/refund policy for ceremonial cacao (a consumable, perishable-adjacent food product) are set out in full in our Shipping & Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

All text, photography, the Volcano Spirit Cacao name, logo, and site design are owned by us or used under licence, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written permission.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site to: violate any law; attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; interfere with the Site's normal operation; or submit false or fraudulent order or contact information.

9. Disclaimer & health notice

Ceremonial cacao is a food product naturally containing theobromine and caffeine, and is prepared and consumed as part of a long-standing Mayan tradition. It is not a medical treatment, and nothing on this Site is medical advice. If you are pregnant, nursing, have a heart condition, are sensitive to caffeine, or are taking medication (particularly MAOIs), please consult a doctor before consuming ceremonial cacao. Keep out of reach of children.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Volcano Spirit Cacao is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our products. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing Law Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
