Shipping & Returns

1. How ordering works

Checkout on this Site submits an order request. We reply by email, usually within one business day, to confirm exact shipping cost and delivery estimate for your destination, and to arrange payment. Nothing is charged automatically, and no order is final until we've confirmed it with you and received payment.

2. Shipping destinations & timing

We ship from Guatemala. Once your order is confirmed and paid, we aim to dispatch within 3–5 business days. International delivery typically takes 7–21 business days depending on destination and customs processing, which is outside our control. We'll give you a tracking number where the shipping method provides one.

3. Shipping cost, customs & duties

Shipping cost depends on destination and order weight, and is confirmed with you before payment. For international orders, your country may charge import duties, taxes, or customs fees on arrival, these are set by your government, are your responsibility, and are not included in our shipping quote.

4. Damaged or lost shipments

If your order arrives damaged, or doesn't arrive within a reasonable window of the estimate we gave you, contact us at hello@atitlanspiritcacao.com with your order details and, if possible, photos of any damage. We'll work with you to send a replacement or issue a refund.

5. Returns & the right of withdrawal

Because ceremonial cacao is a consumable food product, for hygiene and safety reasons we can only accept returns of unopened, unused blocks in their original packaging, within 14 days of delivery. Once a block has been opened, we're not able to accept it back.

If you're ordering from the European Union or another jurisdiction that grants a statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases, you retain that right for unopened goods as described above; applicable law that cannot be limited by these terms will always take precedence over this policy.

To start a return, email us within 14 days of delivery. We'll confirm the return address and next steps. Return shipping cost is covered by the customer unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

6. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect a valid return, we'll confirm the refund by email and issue it to your original payment method within 10 business days. Orders damaged in transit or shipped in error by us are refunded (or replaced, your choice) in full, including original shipping cost.
